Location
This photo was taken on Canon Hill a few seconds after the old gentleman left the flowers in remembrance of his departed wife.Time
This was taken in the evening about six p.m.Lighting
To draw the viewer in I have vignetted the image leaving the centre clear.Equipment
I use a Canon SX40 HS with a 35x optical zoom.Inspiration
This was a moment where it pays to always have a camera about you and to keep your eyes open. It is easy to let the camera sleep thus missing such shots. To have a camera slung easy is to invite inspiration.Editing
Totally. It is an integral part of the image making process. In my camera bag
Just the camera. I don't have lots of equipment as I find it cramps my movement and irritates me. I like to be free physically and mentally to take photos.Feedback
My advice would be to free yourself of equipment. Don't lug around a tripod except for night shots. Similarly stick on one lens. Preferably a wide angle to zoom. Remember you're out to take photos not hump around loads of equipment.
