A late August summer evening...Lighting
Timing is everything when shooting evening sunset shots... as the light changes rapidly. Contrast and details can be enhanced greatly during early morning hours and evening.Equipment
The amazing thing about this photo it was taken with my older Samsung Note 4 cellphone…F-Stop f/2.2 Exposure time 1/179 sec. ISO 40 Meter mode Center weighted, no flash and focal length 31mmInspiration
This photo was taken the night of my mother's 100th birthday celebration at a small RV Park. I had taken my mother from the nursing home in Hays, Kansas to be with my brother and his family from Albuquerque, NM staying at the RV Park. I liked the church and the reflection in the water and kept watching the light on the church during the evening period waiting for the right contrast levels to appear. This year my mother will be 102Editing
I did a little HDR post editing other than that just a normal shot. Took the jpg image then final processing with HDR and saved as a TIFF.In my camera bag
I use a Nikon SLR, Canon SLR, Panasonic 4k Camcorder and many times the Samsung 8+ cellphoneFeedback
Lighting and timing is critical for most sunrise and sunset photos...be ready and be prepared since you only have limited time to get the right light and details. If you are always scrambling trying to find your cameras to use. Chances are you have already missed the photo you thought you wanted to take. Through the lens...you capture the moment in time. That single moment will last a lifetime for you and others to enjoy.
