The Salute to the ANZAC poem was written by me outside the Australian War Memorial later afternoon on Wednesday,14 January 2015. I had just returned from spending an hour at ANZAC Parade on that day the experience was like I was walking with ANZAC spirits telling me their story.

I came to say g'day
To pay my respect and to honour the fallen
I would not be living my life today
If you had not stepped up to the callin.'

Salute to the ANZACS. Salute!

Long live the ANZAC.
Lest we forget.
