There is a herd of approximately 200 wild horses inhabiting an area of National Forest East of Phoenix, AZ. They have adapted them selves to foraging in the river for Eelgrass. No other Wild Horses have ever been observed submersing their entire head under water. To forage. Kayakers have an added water obstacle to navigate here.
