Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo at my local city park

Time

I left for work early one morning and decided to drive through the park on my way to work. The sunrise set the stage for this one but the mist rising off the pond set it off. I was in a very reflective stage of my life and it evoked the feeling that today is a new day...a new beginning...a fresh start.

Lighting

Because of where the sun was rising it lent way to the shadow play in this photo too.

Equipment

At this time Inwas shooting with my Nikon D90

Inspiration

Honestly I love the stillness at sunrise. It is peaceful and quiet and a good time for reflection.

Editing

Well I always add my name in either the bottom right hand corner or left. That is pretty much it for this photo.

In my camera bag

I usually carry a 18-50mm lens and a 50-300 lens as well as different filters such as the star, blue, red, and polarized.

Feedback

Revisit the place at different times of day to get a sense of lighting. Particularly where light and shadow meet. Play with different angles.
