In Nova Scotia, Canada on Cape Breton Island the ocean connects to the Bras d'Or Lakes that dazzle in daily reflections of the movement of the sun. I've lived and worked onboard boats for over three years traveling coastlines and inland waterways of the world and some of my most memorable were here in Canada such as this tiny inlet we anchored at for days. A small lighthouse stands mid frame, one I visited after paddling over from the boat on a kayak and meeting with the families who have homes along the shore who invited me up for a look.
