While doing some field work in coastal Gabon we had to take a short wander from camp to try to get cell phone reception. Each night as I walked I noticed hundreds of spider eyes reflecting my flashlight beam. One night I took the time to get a closer look and found this beautiful wolf spider feasting on a fat cricket. I tried to do him justice in attempting a dramatic image using just my small flashlight.
