After a morning of photographing Wood Ducks on the part of this pond where the reds and yellows of the fall leaves reflected in the water provided a colorful backdrop to the Wood Ducks, I came across this drake in the the shade. The diffuse light seemed to really brought out the colors of the duck against the reflection of the clear blue sky.
