Location
This photo was taken in Hyderabad during our industrial visit to Ramoji Film City in my college days in October 2016. The location is the majestic Golconda Fort.Time
It was noon, it was a very hot day and my model was actually relaxing in the corridors seen in the photo, from the heat when I asked her to pose and clicked this.Lighting
Natural lighting has always proved to be the best in all my shots. Since it was mid noon, I couldn’t get much shadows but I made it work good.Equipment
I was still learning photography when I took this, I had my Canon 600D and the kit lens, 55-250 mm. I think it has helped me get the depth in the photo.Inspiration
The patterns of the corridor. I was so struck by the architecture at Golconda Fort and this corridors seemed like the perfect place to get a portrait with depth.Editing
I hardly did any post processing that time, being a beginner, my post processing skills were also at beginner level. I used the raw feature in Adobe Photoshop to adjust the curves in the photo. In my camera bag
I had my camera and lens mostly that time, I didn’t own a tripod then.Feedback
Always look for the patterns around you. Let it be nature or architecture, I believe those patterns give a certain life and charm to your portraits!
