Behind The Lens

Location

I was on amazing photo-tour across the old 'Chuya road' (part of the Great Silk Road) in the Altai region. This was one of the places we stopped to take photos. This place is also famous for white-water kayaking funs.

Time

It was a nice sunny day in early May, around 2-3 pm.

Lighting

It was mostly shiny that day. Some clouds from time to time made perfect changes from straight bright light to soft shadows.

Equipment

This photo was taken by Nikon D3300, with the standard Nikkor 18-140mm zoom lens.

Inspiration

This is a classic picturesque landscape, isn't it? Front and back plans with many details, multi-layered; S-curve of the river across the picture, lot of colors, lights and shadows.

Editing

With the help of Adobe Lightroom, I added some more vibrance, corrected shadows and light.

In my camera bag

I usually have universal zoom Nikkor 24-120mm as my main lens, along with a wide-angle lens (Tokina 16-28 mm) and sometimes telelens Nikkor 80-400mm. Along with Nikon D750. I take the tripod only when I'm going to shoot during the dark time of a day.

Feedback

Travel wherever possible; there are a lot of places, sometimes not far from where you live.
