I am a musician. 2014 or so I decided to join ReverbNation, Facebook and Youtube. For my FB music page, I wanted an image that reflected me as a musician/songwriter. My thoughts ran to my piano. I wanted to capture one of my workspaces for music. The mug of beer is there along with a pencil and notes on the piano. The composition pleased me but I think what really sets it off is the color of the keys. They are not all a uniform white. Nice tinges of yellow in there.Editing
Very little using iPhotoIn my camera bag
My “bag” at the time was tripods, intervalometer Canon PowerShot SX60 HS: Lens—Focal Length 65x Zoom 3.6mm—247mm; Canon EOS Rebel T5 1200D Lens: EFS 18mm-55mm Image Stabilizer Macro 0.25m/0.8ft EFS 55mm-250mm Image Stabilizer Macro 1.1m/3.6ft Canon Filter: 58mm Sky 1-A Now, in 2020, I include my Android phone and an external camera connected to my SurfacePro. My bag now has a white cane to help with the vision loss experienced in 2019. A mask is also part of my essentials now in 2020.Feedback
With my photography, I classify two types of shots. The planned and the spontaneous. A sunset can be used as an example. One could search for the perfect location, perfect time, set the speed, f stop and hope for the weather. A lot of planning for what one wants to achieve.. Or… One could just be hanging with a camera on auto exposure on a hike, drive, or even at home and see a sunset that deserves capturing. So, one frames and snaps a shot or two. This shot of my piano was planned as described above.
