Twas a couple of days ago when we found this majestic & fantastic bird perched on the bonnet of our car. It was quite relaxed and comfortable with us gawking at it so it probably was used to having humans around. Seeing it there watching us with those mesmerising eyes I just had to run and grab my camera for a few quick shots before we called the local wildlife organisation.

This fantastic bird, it turns out, is an Eagle Owl. One of the largest species of Owls to grace Europe.
