A friend and I were hammock camping in our college town at the base of Bishop Peak, a volcanic plug, with the view of Cerro San Luis Obispo, otherwise known as Madonna Mountain, across the street in San Luis Obispo, CA. These are two of the "Nine Sisters" in town. My friend is a photographer and was teaching me how to use his camera. Earlier that night I had learned how to adjust aperture, ISO, shutter speed, and whatnot. I was blown away at how much light came through the lens at 11pm in a small town. I like the stars peaking through the cloud cover and the details on the shrubs and rocks. This photo has sparked my interest in photography and I cannot wait to see what else I am going to learn! Currently trying to save up for a Canon EOS 7D, 70D, or Rebel T5i.
