Location
Wandlebury Country Park, Wandlebury Ring, Gog Magog Hills, Cambridge CB22 3AE.This is about 5miles from where iliveTime
If I remember correctly it was an early morning as I try and get out early before the rush of people that use this woodland for walks, hiking or bike riding.Lighting
When I shoot this type of shot I aim to get the light down low and hope to get sun rays breaking through, mist would be the best for me, still hoping to get there. So early or late in the day is normally the best. If it is heavy cloud really makes no difference.Equipment
The shot was done on a tripod flat on the ground.camera was my Nikon D800 shot in raw Shot in P mode as trying to lay on the ground and set the shot in manual was not going to happen.Inspiration
The reason it took this shot is the range of colours that don't last to long and it marks a set time of the year that I love.Plus I love trees so the two together can only be a plus for me.Editing
All my work is PP in Lightroom I am not a big fan of Photoshop. Could I get more out the shot with it I am sure but then that takes the photography out of what I do. Most of the edits I do are pretty much what most would do I guess. In my camera bag
I try to travel as light as possible so 90% of the time it is only a camera prime lens and tripod, and filters if I am shooting water.Feedback
Do you need a top-end camera not really some of my best work was done with entry-level gear, so why do I use full-frame and prime lens because I can afford to buy it now. Knowing how to use your gear 100% will give you better shots than gear that is so complex you are lost in the settings.
