Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo during a trip in the Casentinesi Forest National Park, the light was very nice but not easy to capture due to the darkness of the forest. I am not a professionist and every shot teach me something new. In this case for widening the range of light, I decided to use the HDR process.

Time

It was late afternoon in summer, on a bright day

Lighting

I decided to show the maximum possible range of light, showing from the flare to the darker part of the fallen trees, trying to capture the magic atmosphere we could feel

Equipment

I used a Canon 7D and a 24-105 L f4 lens and tripod

Inspiration

When we got there we were able to experience a magical sensation, the light and the shadows, the sunlight that tried to penetrate the forest... everything was truly breathtaking...

Editing

I shot three images and use the HDR process

In my camera bag

Usually I bring with me two cameras: a Canon 5D with a 24-105 F4L lens and a Canon 7D with a 100-400 F4-5,6L I love wildlife photography. Of course a tripod (I have a Mastrotto)

Feedback

Be prepared for different situations. The light can changes quickly and the shot of the year can be just behind the corner.
