This photo was taken ar my home in Apsley, Ontario. I was jusr starting 5o play around with my camera. I had bought a Canon mid range no lenses camera and wanted to see what I could do.. i put seeds out and patiently waited. I took about 50 shots and finally got that one. Only cropping was applied.Time
It was earlier morning. A little chilly, but worth it. Sat with my coffee and let the Chicadees play, eat and get used to me.. then introduced camera..Lighting
Back then I was less aware of lighting or background noise. I tried to ensure the sunlight did not impact and I was angled right for a good image to come through.Equipment
CANON Powershot.. SX 420.It was taken before I splurged on the Rebel T6. Just powershot with zoom. I had to be closer to the birds due to less zoom ability, but good photos can happen without the 1000 dollar cameraInspiration
I love the birds.. any wild life. They come to my deck all the time and are so facinating to watch. Delicate yet quick and powerful.Editing
i just cropped this one. Made sure the blur at top was appealing and left it natural. There is a time and place for your presets and fixes. This photo did not need it.In my camera bag
i carry my filters for sunlight. My zoom lens to get a closer shot if something is out of range. Cleaning wip for ensuring everything is clean when in wild life areas.Feedback
Patience, steadiness and a willingness to learn as you go. It takes the ability to take quite a few not great pictures to get that OH WOW pic. The excitement when you get it can not be matched though.
