Thank you! I live in the North-West of Russia and the ice on our beautiful Lake Onego doesn't melt till mid-May sometimes. And I love sunsets. It was a wonderful evenng with all this ice and sunrays.

Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo near my summer house on Lake Onega (Republic of Karelia)

Time

it was taken closer to the end of the day, about 16.00-17.00. I was fascinated with the sunrays, the sky color and the ice on the lake. In the North-West of Russia it is usual for the the spring to be cold and icy.

Lighting

I wanted to catch the moment when the Sun is hidden by the ice but sending the ray, it looked to me as gigantic jewel on our planet palm/

Equipment

Aperture 40/10?ISO 160?Shutter 10/8000?Focal Length 43/10?It iwas just a regular digital camera (for dummies)))) But the lense is good.

Inspiration

I just love nature, our lake and sunsets, always take pictures when I am there (a zillion)))))

Editing

Actually, no/

In my camera bag

Now just my phone XIOME

Feedback

The water bodies always are good objects to photograph: transparency of water, reflections, the combination with the sky colors....
