This photo was taken in my living room. I am a self taught photographer still working on my craft.Time
I have to say that this is one of my favorite images. It was taken just shortly after 5pm dinner time and he was casually walking into the living room with the dish in his mouth. I didn't use any other tricks to achieve this shot it's just something this dog does naturally.Lighting
I didn't have to use any special lighting for this shot. There was plenty of natural light coming from a big picture window.Equipment
This was shot with a canon power shot SX530. No flash, tripod or any other equipment was used.Inspiration
I had my camera sitting next to me but I really hadn't planned to take any photos at the time. It was by chance that I happened to capture this at the right time. This dog has always been kind of a clown so you have to be quick for shots like this because he doesn't carry it around for long. Sometimes he will pick it up, take a few steps, drop it and sit down next to it. He has a unique personality and is the only dog I have had that does this.Editing
For this photo I really did not do much editing. The only big change I made was taking it from color to black and white to make it a little more interesting. In my camera bag
I normally shoot with a canon 80D and use a 55-250 mm telephoto zoom lens. I also use a 24-105 mm landscape lens. For fun I like the 600 mm Tamron lens but it does have some weight to it so I don't use it often because I don't like being weighted down with all that equipment unless it is necessary.Feedback
Sometimes you just have to be patient and try to be prepared for the unexpected. However, don't become discouraged if you don't get the shot you want. It happens when you least expect it.
