Lazienki - Royal Palace and Park in Warsaw. It is my one of favourite place in Warsaw. It was build for the last Polish king. It is better known as Palace on Water. It is beautiful at every time of year. I use to go there nearly daily when I was a child. I use to collect conckers in the autumn and have snowball fights in the winter.

Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo in Warsaw. Lazienki is an original palace from 18th century belonging to last Polish king.It is surrounded by a beautiful park. In 18th century it was set in the country. Now you can get there by bus.

Time

It was probably early afternoon.

Lighting

I used a totally natural light.

Equipment

Kodak DX4530 Digital camera.

Inspiration

I loved the reflection of the columns in the lake. But the whole building looks beautiful.

Editing

No, I didn't have to.

In my camera bag

Nowadays I carry a camera Panasonic Lumix FZ45, a mobile phone and a Samsung tablet. The last two I use for real close-ups when I add a macro lens.

Feedback

I would suggest looking around for reflections in the water. It is better to have a light behind you or to take a picture on an overcast day. It is important to frame the reflection with other elements (buildings, trees, etc).
