The Island is located in the Robberg Nature Reserve at Plettenberg Bay. This rocky outcrop is linked to the main peninsula by means of a strip of sandy beach which may be accessed by taking the marked path round the peninsula or taking a shortcut down the steep dune seen in the foreground.
