I have always been an admirer of "Christina" by Andrew Wyeth. In this portrait the view is through Jasmine's vantage of cross tidal pool where she is looking back as the sea is calling to her. The sand bar is one sees here drives the surf towards itself creating an undertow. She will return to the sea someday.
