Behind The Lens
Location
This photo is actually from Busch Gardens Tampa Bay. I was there for the day with my family and saw the Orangutan eating and sitting so peacefully I thought it was a great shot.Time
This was taken I believe in early afternoon, I remember I had just gotten my first DSLR camera and was so excited to go shoot the animals at Busch Gardens.Lighting
The lighting was standard lighting outside in the Florida sun.Equipment
Canon T5 my very first DSLR. Had a 70-300 zoom lens so I could get this intimate shot.Inspiration
I love animals, and I love being able to see them up close and personal, and when I saw the shot through the zoom lens I thought it was perfect, the detail of his hair and the look in his eyes felt so personal at the time.Editing
Yes just a conversion from color to black and white. In my camera bag
Nowadays I carry a T7i with my 70-300 a 50mm 1.4 and a 35mm I feel these 3 lens cover just about any scenario I can find myself in at any given time. Last spring I carried this bag around NYC and had everything I needed for every circumstance, it was perfect.Feedback
Just take pictures, all the time, you never know until you get home if you've got something great. Don't delete anything until you're in post, some of my favorite pictures looked terrible on the camera.
