Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken on the Hawaiian Island of Kauai. We stopped to enjoy the ocean view and captured the waves crashing on the rocky shore.

Time

This was taken in the middle of the day while out enjoying the ocean view.

Lighting

This was strictly using natural light.

Equipment

This was taken hand held with my Olympus camera E410 with the kit lens.

Inspiration

We were standing on the shore, enjoying the ocean and it caught my attention. I focused and waited for the next splash.

Editing

The only post processing was turn into a black and white, I love the simplicity message of black and white photos.

In my camera bag

I always have my camera, usually two favorite lenses depending on where I am going and back up battery. Sometimes I use my small bag if I am going to be hiking and do not want to carry anything to heavy. I also keep a water resistant bag in the event of rain.

Feedback

Just enjoy the view and be observant of your surroundings, the best shots sometimes cannot be planned.
