I bought this collection of antique marbles in New Hope, PA and thought it might make a good still-life closeup-macro to learn my new Sigma 70-300 mm telephoto-macro zoom lens. This is the second shot of them. If you look closely enough in the reflection, you can just make out a reflection of me and the camera. I had to use the 2 sec self timer and a tripod to minimize camera shake. No mirror lock was necessary as my SLT doesn't have a moving mirror. The backdrop is an old IKEA dishtowel that I use as an ink cloth for cleaning and maintaining fountain pens.
