An oxpecker checks out a white rhino's ear as a food source, but looks like its whispering secrets to it. I don't know how much the impressive horns of this animal would be worth to the illegal and unethical wildlife-threatening trade but it must be a fair whack. The animals at Hlane Royal National Park appeared to be well protected so hopefully this one will live out its life naturally. We stood within 20 metres of 15 of them with only 2 strands of rusting barbed wire between.
