Location
I took this photo at the Kinzua State Park, near Bradford, PATime
This was taken early afternoon, about 2 pm. The sun just came out after a 30 minute down pour.Lighting
The lighting was natural light of the sun. There was still a little bit of gray clouds about. I think that the fact of the rain had just ended made this shot work for the lighting. I was also standing in a area by the bridge that had just enough shade to block any glare from the sun on the lens.Equipment
Equipment used was my Canon EOS Rebel T5. There was not a flash or tripod used. There was not a place to get the tripod in use where I was standing.Inspiration
My inspiration for this photo came from the love of photography and the perfect opportunity after learning about the bridge. The reason it was built to begin with, the reason it was rebuilt after the first tornado, and to find out it was destroyed by a second tornado. To see this structure still standing and being able to walk out on this bridge and see the beauty that surrounds the bridge simply is breathtaking. To know that there are some little hidden parts of history in my home state and the significance of the role of this part of history plays. You never know what will be found out there. Keep an eye and you can find some things that are truly beautiful.Editing
I did not do any post processing other than a cropping the photo a little to bring it larger. In my camera bag
Normally in my bag I carry my camera, a flash, some batteries for the camera and the flash, a tripod, a lens cleaning brush, and filters for the lens. I carry amy 18 - 55 mm lens and my 75 - 200 mm lens.Feedback
My advice for someone wanting to capture a photo as this is as follows. Take the shot that you see, not everyone will like your photo, but you are the one taking the photo and it is your eye that catches such beauty. If you do not take the shot you will never know what can be. A photograph is only worth what you see it as. Do not be afraid to try to new things, some of the times when you are most skeptical is when you capture your most unique photos. I have found that as a photographer that I am the most critical of my work and that is okay because it helps you to challenge yourself and take your skill further.
