I took this photo during a visit to the Rutherglen Wine growing area in Northern Victoria,Australia.Time
It seemed that nearly every Winery we visited had one or more very happy and relaxed Cats to keep the mouse population in the cellars done. This one was particularly friendly and was a great aid to door sales !Lighting
I found the lighting was very changeable at each venue which I have some difficulty with when taking impromptu shots.Equipment
Just a hand held spur of the moment shot with my trusty Canon Power Shot SX110.Inspiration
After seeing other cats in the Cellar Door areas I wanted to get a shot that was interesting as well as telling a story. I had a lot of Cats in winery shots by the time we got home but this one (actually my first) was the only one that told the story .Editing
The shot was slightly cropped to remove some ones elbow and brightened up a little >In my camera bag
I have a Nikon D3100 with two basic lens,my Canon SX110 ,batteries ,lens cloth ,etc. I like to take my Canon with me when I don't want to be carrying anything as it fits in my pocket.Feedback
Winery tours have great opportunities for a vast range of different shots.Potraits, still lifes,Cats !,old buildings,Land scapes ,gardens flowers the list goes on and on. A very relaxing day of off the cuff photography plus of course tastings !
