Location
This photo was taken a few years ago in Karelia, Russia, at the island of Kizhi.Time
We sailed to the island early in the morning, spent almost all day on it, and went to the mainland in the evening. The photo was taken at about noon, during an excursion to the Museum of Wooden Architecture.Lighting
It was quite a complicated picture from a dark barn through the door to the outside. The absence of light in and strong light outside made a serious problem.Equipment
This shot was on Nikon D7100 camera and Sigma 10..20 lens.Inspiration
I really love photos made through arches, gates, doors. In front of me there were magnificent doors, and behind them a beautiful landscape opened. I could not ignore it.Editing
I used the HDR technology. I took three pictures: 0, -2EV, +2EV. Then I processed them in Photomatics. In my camera bag
Nikon D7100 camera, Sigma 10..20 lens, Nikkor 18..105 lens, Nikkor 70..300 lens, ND-100 and ND-1000 filtersFeedback
When using XDR, one should strive for the naturalness of the image. There is always a great desire to get unreal colors. I do not like this way.
