Hielanman's Umbrella

The glass walled bridge that carries Central Station over Argyle Street. There are some dainty shops underneath now that there is half decent lighting and big fans to suck away all the exhaust fumes from the trains. People coming down from the Highlands in the 19th Century looking for work would shelter here if they were homeless and became known as the Hielanman's (Highland man's) Umbrella - a derogatory term that stuck.
