The Chateau at The Oregon Caves is rich with historic nostalgia... Built in1934 by architect Gust Lium... Today it contains many of it's original features from when it was first constructed including it's heating system, which is powered by steam and rushes screaming steam through the exposed water system that was common in that era and sounds like your kettle alerting you that your tea is ready... The walls are paper thin and the floors creek with even the thought of a step... The smell of the aging wood throughout the six floor lodge ties all of your senses together truly taking you back a step in time... With no Tv's, internet, or the blur of our hectic dailies, this is definitely an uncommon retreat to escape the common...
