Traditional fishing on the remote, isolated island of St Helena. Many rock fishers are dropped off by boat in the morning and picked up late afternoon, or in the evening. Some leave late afternoon to fish through the night. This can be dangerous. While I was there I met several people who'd lost family members washed off rocks. I even met survivors from these incidents. They were extremely lucky as the waves, currents, lack of communication and isolation means rescue can be a long time coming.
