Was volunteering at Wild Burro Rescue in Ca. We were out feeding in approx. 100 MPH winds. I looked up and saw these clouds! Now Lenticular Clouds are my favorite thing to photograph. You just never know what you are going to see. They blow my mind sometimes!

You have interesting skies where you live(?). Using a camera with more resolution(pixels and maybe better quality optics would help turn these pics into something really outstanding rather than just 'very interesting'.

Thanks for the advice DarwinsBloodhound, I appreciate it. I am very aware of what you said about a better camera. I know you are right. I get highly frustrated that my pics are not turning out how I want them to look. I am trying to save money to get one. Thanks again for your comment....Oh, and I live in Amargosa Valley, NV. Right near Death Valley.

What extraordinary clouds, I've never seen anything like them before. Your sunsets are stunning, I think the air in this area must be very clear.

One thing Nevada gets a lot of is Lenticular clouds. If you check my photos I have a sunset of lenticular clouds that I took from my front yard. I saw one Tuesday morning on my way into town, that looked like it had a Top Hat on it, and I didn't have a camera or a place to stop... I wish I could have gotten a shot of it. Welcome to ViewBug.

Fantastic photography. I have never seen a cloud formation like that. I imagine that's because I live in northeast Ohio.
