A trip to the Netherlands, wanted to see that Dutch icon, the windmills. While in Rotterdam, traveled to a nearby UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Windmills at Kenderdijk. To our surprise, in mid-September, some leaves in the city were starting to fall, but overall still warm and very active. At the Windmills, children were swimming, small boats were in the water until dark as people know Fall and then Winter approach. The locals were not wasting a minute of their time to enjoy.
