Bull elk. Picture taken September 11th, 2016, in Jasper National Park. This one was definitely the alpha male in the area. The biggest and baddest I saw when I was up there and had the largest harem of female elk. He was the most aggressive and not many challengers tried to take him on. Notice the young elk looking at him in awe or fear.
