Because of frequent change in elevation right before approaching Silverton, Colorado, local hills and mountains command beautiful views on this small former coal mining town, which now mostly serves as a tourist attraction. The photo was taken in October, when aspens turned yellow, and I was also lucky, as the Durango and Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad train was passing by, adding some interesting element to the image.
