Finally a monarch butterfly stayed in one place long enough for me to get a picture!
This was a really lucky shot. I had spent weeks trying to get a picture of monarchs on ANY flowers, but they were very skittish. I happened to see this butterfly flying around my friends garden. I used the zoom while walking slowly toward it. I got a total of 4 rapid fire pictures before it flew away. This was the only shot where it was not moving! So happy with it!
