I took this photo at the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo. The peacock was being photogenic that day, so I took plenty of photos!Time
I took this photo probably around 3-4 pm, as that was the usual time for me and my kids to be at the zoo. Not as many people around!Lighting
I am a self taught photographer, my first camera was a Kodak 110. I take pictures of what I think looks good. Sometimes I obsess over lighting, but usually I just observe my surroundings and go from there!Equipment

Patience! And you have to be able to work with what you have. Don’t be afraid to take a lot of pictures. You may take 5, and only have 1 great one. Take 20, and you have better luck with having more great ones!
