Let me tell you why this image is so important and beautiful to me. If you look closely, the groom is in crutches. This is a couple that decided to get married even though they already lived together and have children; even though they are already a family. This wedding took place saturday Aug 27th. On Wednesday August the 24th, while finalizing some of the details from the wedding, they were in a head on crash. They were hit by a drunk driver. The groom suffered a broken leg and arm and the bride was badly hurt and in severe pain. Their babies were in the truck with them and one suffered a broken leg. But they were alive and thankful.
What AMAZED me is that they decided to go on with the wedding, mostly because they wanted to give thanks. What a great opportunity to declare their faith to god and love for each other. And more importantly; What a great time to be alive.
