I was sitting in my room playing my ukulele. I look outside and think 'boring light this evening'... 30 minutes later and a slight glow starts hitting the clouds above the hills. I looked out and thought 'it will disappear and the sunset won't eventuate'.
10 minutes later, after being totally engrossed in jamming out some Bowie, I glance up and the sky is on fire. I was torn: 1. when you start playing Bowie it's pretty hard to stop, and 2. I was worried that by the time I got anywhere decent to shoot the sunset, it will be over.
The hesitation cost me because I wrote a self-fulfilling prophecy and by the time I got down to the pier the best part of the sunset had passed. But still I managed to fumble this shot out.
