The photo was taken at a beach I live close to in New Zealand, I take the opportunity to get out as much as possible due to it being so close and availableTime
This photo was taken early in the morning as the sun was rising at around 6-7am it was a beautiful morning so I had decided to take a walk down to the beachLighting
I have always loved sunrises how for a short moment in time on the right mornings the earth brings out these beautiful little moments with the clouds looking like they are on fire and the sky looking like gold showing itself from behind mountains and hills.Equipment
I had my canon 450D with a 18-55mm lens and a benq tripodInspiration
I had spent the night playing video games and going through old photos of mine and felt the urge to go out and get some photos, I had always gone for a walk along the beach in the mornings but had never taken my camera along with me and thought it would be the perfect opportunity to do so that morningEditing
The photo is unedited and untouched. In my camera bag
When I pack my bag to go out shooting the first thing is my Canon 450D and my benq tripod next would be a deck of cards simply because they're a necessary part of my everyday equipment, you never know who you might meet and a deck of cards is a great way to play a few games and get to know them. More importantly and the number one thing I always have in my bag is a bottle of water, water is essential to keeping focused and well hydratedFeedback
I don't really give myself any advice but if I could give advice to someone else I think it would be just get out there and explore, go to your local beach, park or anywhere that is close to you and explore the opportunities within those areas. There are so many photo opportunities out there and they don't have to be taken all in one day, if you don't get a photo you like then go back the next day or the next week and try again, you'll never know what kind of photo you're going to get until you go out there and start taking photos. There is beauty all around us you just have to search no matter the time of day
