Location
I took this photo while on a train from Skagway to the White Pass Summit in Alaska.Time
I shot this in the afternoon through a break in the tree line. Luckily it was an overcast day.Lighting
Because the clouds were so bright I darkened a stop so it wasn't too overexposed.Equipment
I shot this with a Canon 5D MKIII, Canon 22-70 2.8, and a uv filter.Inspiration
While riding the train I had to be persistent to get well composed shots between the trees and while crossing a bridge this valley opened up. It all lined up just right.Editing
Processed from RAW to JPEG.In my camera bag
Rokinon 12mm fisheye, 50mm 1.2 for portraits, 22-70mm 2.8 for general shooting, 70-300 telephoto, and always a tripod.Feedback
Keep a close eye on your histogram and be patient.
