Location
Taken from the outer ring of the enclosure at the Woodland Park Zoo in Oregon.Time
After waiting patiently for more than 2 hours and exchanging glances with these two magnificent animals, visitors finally began making their way to the exit and just before closing the tigers glanced in my direction and contentedly curled up together allowing me to capture this tender moment.Lighting
I got lucky and the daylight was cooperative.Equipment
Taken with an Olympus Digital Camera, no other equipment was used.Inspiration
The allure of tigers is in their strength and confidence, they possess a calmness in the midst of chaos. When you make eye contact with a tiger you can see their soul and if you concentrate you can almost feel their heartbeat with every breath they take. I had the good fortune of being in the right place at the right time and the privilege of embracing a feisty cub in my arms, a moment that I will never forget.Editing

Be patient, if you wait long enough the animal will sense your presence and make eye contact. Remain quiet and still and your subject will reflect that back to you.
