This photo is taken in my hometown in the Netherlands. I was walking in the city and saw the birds on the rooftop of the church. It was a beautiful day so I decided to take a picture of the lovely birds and clouds with the architecture silhouette of the church.Time
It was in the middle of the day so the sun shined beautiful trough the clouds. Because I had no tripod I went down on my knees and just snapt at the point I thought was nicest. Because of that position the church looks extra dark.Lighting
I just wanted to make a nice picture of the beautiful sky, birds and church. That were my main things to work with and I just started taking pictures. I realy love that my result looks like what I had in my head. I wanted the sunlight shining trough the clouds and a silhouette of the birds and church and I got it. The bird flying away on the right gives it something extra I think.Equipment
The picture is shot with my Samsung S3 mobile. Every picture I take is shot with my mobile. I didn't use a tripod or flash or any other equipment.Inspiration
There was no photography on the planning. I was just looking at the beautiful sky and noticed the birds. I thought I could make a cool picture with the vieuw I was looking at.Editing
I didn't do any post-processing. I was just walking in the city, saw something interesting and took the shot.In my camera bag
This time it was only my mobile but when I go for urban exploring I also pack my mini tripod and stick.Feedback
Take a roadtrip and go site seeing. Look at architecture around you and try diffirent angles. Best to look up the weather so you know what surroundings match. For example foggy weather, look up a church. Nice weather look up farms or forrests. Ofcourse this depends on your ideas but it's always good to plan ahead.
