Location
This was done at an abandoned prison building in Tallinn, Estonia. The prison museum is now sadly closed.Time
I guess it was sometime in the afternoon. Since it was indoors, the time of day did't matter that much, as long as there was some light from the windows.Lighting
For that shot i used an off-camera flash inside the operating lamp. An idea I'd had for a while for this place. the backlight worked really well for this.Equipment
I shot this with my Pentax K3 and a Tamron 28-75 f/2.8. Apart from an off-camera flash, nothing else was used.Inspiration
I wanted to have a shoot in that prison for a long while, but somehow didn't get a chance, so when my beautiful model said that she hadn't been there ever, it was a done deal.Editing
There's not that much post-processing with this photo. some simple color grading and skin softening in LightroomIn my camera bag
I don't usually carry around that much. I mostly use my Tamron 28-75, but usually take a 50mm prime along as well. Also a flash with a radio trigger and maybe a few coloured filters for it, but that's it. It really depends on where and who i'll be shooting, I don't like to haul around too much equipment.Feedback
Invest in a radio trigger for the flash (and a flash if you don't have one), go out there and shoot! :)
