600,000 giant begonia flowers arranged in 1,800 square meters on a Japanese theme depicting the beauty of nature; representing flowers, birds, the wind and the moon.

"The concept comes from a Japanese expression 'Kacho Fugetsu', and that is the philosophy or the way of thinking about all nature, and the beauty of nature. It is compiled of four characters: flower, bird, wind and moon," Fujie Suzuki, designer of Flower Carpet 2016 said. "In other words, we have a tradition of affinity to the nature and flora and fauna. So I wanted to express the beauty of nature and scenery which is a Japanese tradition, and then the love and respect for nature."
