Behind The Lens

Location

This is a winter morning view from my balcony of bridge in my hometown Vienna,Austria,Europe.

Time

Morning time

Lighting

The lightning is made by the sun.It is always the best lightening available in my view.Thank you dear sun!

Equipment

The camera is a Nikon D300S from 2009 in APS Format. The lens is a AFS Nikkor GED VR at 200mm(which is 300mm at this format)

Inspiration

On this day I looked out of the window and the world had dissappeared in thick mist. This happens just two or three times a year, and i fortunately had the time to watch the world around me reappear and the light was so beautiful. And I wanted to share these moments.

Editing

I usually shoot in raw(and jpeg) and convert it in lightroom...There I added clarity, enhanced saturation, reduced lights by 28,and added depth. As usually I use lens correction in Lightroom and activate chromatic aberration(which makes a huge difference sometimes)

In my camera bag

The Nikon D300S with a 50mm 1.8 lens. An extra battery!!!Nothing worse than running out of battery :-) Cleaning towel. The 18-20mm zoom lens for lazy days. Sometimes the extra battery grip, which is good for handling, but makes the cam quite heavy. The 10-20mm Sigma wide lens.

Feedback

Have much luck with nature, and time, and patience to watch! Always look at the world and see how beautiful it is and want share this beauty.Be attentive.Photography for me is learning to see.
