Our family loves Halloween, and now that our dog, Sophie, is deaf, she doesn't mind Halloween either. We always make a fun evening of Halloween, with good food, music, decorations, and celebration. We enjoy spending time together answering the door, and handing out candy for trick-or-treaters. As we were waiting for the first trick-or-treaters to arrive, I was determined to capture a "cute" shot of Sophie in her festive Halloween dress. However, this task proved to be quite a challenge, as she tends to shy away from the camera, in her defiant diva ways.Editing

My camera bag is pretty slim, as I've only recently become interested in photography, and would definitely consider myself an amateur. I mostly use my equipment when I travel, so I like to keep it pretty light. I always carry my Panasonic DMC-GX8 with one prime lens (my favourite for shooting stills) and one zoom lens (my favourite for capturing 4K video), as well as a flash.Feedback
I find animals to be a fun challenge to photograph, with their unpredictable, quick movements, and defiant, stubborn attitudes. Patience is the key to photographing pets. Be creative. Change angles. Relax. There's nothing like capturing the perfect pet expression.
