Location
She is captured in Eagle World, Denmark.Time
It is taken in the afternoon.Lighting
The sun was shining from a clear blue sky.Equipment
This was shot using a Canon 1Dx and EF 300mm f2.8, handheld. To freeze the motion I used Manuel mode f 2.8 and shutter speed at 1/1600s.Inspiration
A lot of ViewBug members has inspired me to take this photo, I have eagles bypassing my home at Rennesøy,Norway but these are wild and never let me come as close as these beauties in EagleWorld.Editing
The picture is cropped and slightly sharpened as I would prefer that f5.6 or f8.0 was used to get more of the bird in focus. In my camera bag
My Canon 1Dx and EF 70-200 f2.8 II are always in the bag. Pending on what to capture I bring the Sigma 12-24 f4 Art for landscape or the Iris 15mm f2.4 for night photography. For birds and animals I use my Canon EF 300 f2.8 MkI or Sigma 800 f5.6.Feedback
I have learned a lot since this picture was taken. Today in same weather conditions I had rised ISO to at least 3600,shutter speed to minimum 1/4000s, aperture f5,6 to get her razor sharp. I used Single focuspoint trying to aim on her eye. As these birds are fast I was forced to take the picture handheld, the challenge was to follow her during flight as she was quite near (about 30 - 60 meters).
