Location
This photo was taken when i was living and exploring Canada a few years ago. It was at the medieval show in Ontario.Time
This was shot at the early evening, but as we were inside a fully enclosed environment it didn't really make too much of a difference.Lighting
Lighting wasn't too much of a issue as it was indoors and the fact that there was pretty much soft light everywhere and the armor they worn had just enough shine on it to show its textureEquipment
For this shot It was a few years back when i first got my Rebel T2i/550D and i think i just had the rock stock 75-300 kit lensInspiration
What inspired me to take this photo was the fact of mystery, not knowing who they were or what there faces looked like. It really made me think back to the times when they really didn't know who was on the other side. This is why i have made the knight in the red in focus, so you can see him but you don't really know what he looks like or what he is hiding just like the knight in the green is viewed from the red knight.Editing
As it was a little dark i shot under exposed in RAW and just pulled the image back a little and gave it a little more of a flat finish. In my camera bag
These days i normally carry around my 80D, 24-105 L, Flash, a small reflector and a 40mm... Its kinda a mixed bag of tricks but I swear it work well.Feedback
I am absolutly no expert but what i have learnt is timing is key, you can rattle off 100 shots blindly, but if your patiently and wait for the right time it will pay off and it will give you more time to think about the story behind the shot... Its all about the story.
