Behind The Lens

Location

I took this in my room. She was being cute on my bed so I just had to get the shot.

Time

Around mid day. The light was coming in purfectly through the window.

Lighting

The lighting is all natural lighting. My window at the time didn't have the shades covering it and the sunlight was filling my entire room.

Equipment

I used a Canon 60d handheld (as are 95% of my shots). I belive I had on a Canon 50mm 1.4f lens.

Inspiration

Simply her being cute on the bed is all it took. She was sleeping and then I called her name then she shifted a few times and ended up in this position and then snap.

Editing

I played with some of the contrast and the sharpness in Adobe Lightroom other than that nothing much.

In my camera bag

I have an 100, 50, and 10-18mm lens. I also have the camera body, external flash, and a diffuser

Feedback

Always be ready. For shots like these that come out of the blue you must move fast and snap fast. I have been doing candid photography since I started so i always looking out for something that might catch my eye. I always say "If it makes me say whoa or I have to do a double take, take a photo of it".
